Lived Experience Project

Hello! I am Kambria Johnson and I am a student at Westmount Secondary School. I am very passionate about mental health and one of my goals is to create empowerment around it.

The lived experience project is an opportunity to share an experience you have faced during your lifetime that you feel has shaped you as a person and impacted your mental health.

Stories will be anonymized and you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable sharing Can be done in person or virtually.

Interviews are Approximately 15-30 min Anonymized Stories shared on social media after content is reviewed.

There is therapeutic value in sharing your story. Someone hearing your story can resonate and feel validated.

Sample questions:
1. What is one major experience that you feel has shaped you into the person you are today?
2. How has your experience impacted your life and how does it continue to impact your life on a daily basis?
3. What is one thing you as yourself now, would tell yourself then?
4. Is there any advice that you have for people who are possibly in the same situation that you were in or are in currently?
